Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

We operate under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we offer services to individuals in the EEA, the EU GDPR may also apply.

2. What we process

• Your idea description and form inputs — the text you enter (business description, geography, goal, stage, optional name and budget) — processed to generate your strategy report, then discarded after the session.
• Anonymised analytics — aggregate usage data (goal type, geography, response time, word count, viability score) stored in a server log without your idea text. No personal identifiers are stored.
• Minimal technical data — timestamps, session hashes, and error logs to operate and secure the service. These do not contain your idea description.

We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use StratLaunch.

3. Zero retention by design

Analytics we do retain are aggregated and non-identifiable — for example, "17 analyses run today, average viability score 6.8/10, most common goal: Direct Sales."

4. Sub-processors

To generate your strategy, your idea description is sent to the following trusted third-party processor:

We enter into appropriate data processing agreements with sub-processors and will update this list if they change.

5. Legal bases

• Contract / service provision — processing your description to generate the strategy you requested.
• Legitimate interests — anonymised analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the service.

6. Retention

Your idea description is session-only — it is not written to disk after your analysis is returned. Anonymised analytics logs are retained for up to 12 months for service monitoring, then deleted. No personal data is retained beyond the active session.

7. Security

We use TLS encryption for all data in transit, and the service is designed with zero-retention as a core principle. No system is perfectly secure, but the most effective protection we offer is simply not storing your data in the first place.

8. Cookies

StratLaunch does not use advertising or tracking cookies. GoatCounter analytics use a session identifier that expires at the end of your visit and contains no personal data. Your browser settings can block this at any time without affecting the tool's functionality.

9. Your rights (UK / EEA)

Because we do not store personal data beyond your active session, most rights requests will be straightforward — there is simply nothing to retrieve, correct, or delete after your session ends. To exercise any right or raise a concern, contact webcontact@stuartrae.biz.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.

10. Children

StratLaunch is not intended for use by individuals under 16. Please do not submit business ideas containing personal data about third parties, minors, or special category data.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service indicates acceptance.
